Governors

The Governing body of the school acts as its corporate body setting the Strategic direction for the school and general governance. There are several different types of governor such as:-

1. Community governors - appointed by the governing body to represent community interests
   
2. LEA governors – appointed by the Local educational authority.
   
3. Parent governors - selected by election (or appointment if insufficient people stand for election) and drawn from parents and carers of children at the school
4. School staff -- selected by election from teaching and support staff paid to work at the school.

As Governors we act at all times with honesty and integrity and be ready to explain our actions and decisions to staff, pupils, parents and anyone with a legitimate interest in the school.  

All governors sit on at least one committee.
